Daryl Elsea started Academy Painting in 2003 in Arlington. Daryl built the foundation of Academy Painting with really good quality work and a great reputation for doing the right thing. Ben Stivers, Daryl's step-son, learned to paint with Daryl and has been working alongside him since 2010. Ben has since become co-owner of the company, continuing to serve Snohomish County homeowners with the same level of care that Academy Painting has always been known to provide. Now, Academy Painting has a team, and our team was carefully selected, ensuring our customers receive top quality painting, clear and consistent communication throughout the project, and a great experience.

I grew up learning the trade from my stepdad Daryl, and today I carry forward his values and 20+ year painting reputation in our team performance. As I grew in my roles and responsibilities within the apprenticeship, I learned the ins and outs of running a real business. Now as a co-owner, I pride myself in giving homeowners across our county the best-in-class interior and exterior residential painting experience, bar none.
